  • ” BJ, Vickie and their entire staff are AMAZING!!! They always made my hubby and I feel like part of the family! They were very knowledgeable, caring and supportive! They took such great care of me throughout my pregnancy and I ended up having the most beautiful and perfect birth on 2/18/10. My home-water-birthed baby boy was guided into the world with Vickie’s loving hands! She knew exactly when to give us our space and when to step in – it was as if she could read my mind!
Vickie and Birgitte were so wonderful to us after the birth as well – they really pampered me, showed me what to do and help tremendously with breastfeeding (I only wish I could have had them live with us for the first few months – ha!). It meant a lot to hear BJ say she was so sorry she wasn’t there as well and she truly cared about us especially after the birthing! Thank you all SOOO much for making this the best experience of my life!!”

  • ” Thank you for the amazing care and experience! You are all truly wonderful and I will miss my weekly visits. Vickie and BJ provided excellent and intuitive care in a caring and inclusive environment, giving plenty of time to our questions and concerns. When a health concern developed, they referred me to the appropriate specialists for additional evaluation who agreed to follow my case should complications occur. I ended up needing to deliver at the hospital, but BJ came with us and supported me there. With BJ present, I had the birth I hoped for in the environment needed for the safety of myself and my baby; I couldn’t have asked for a better experience!

  • “BJ was such a great help this weekend. I had a stomach bug so my husband  paged her (2 Minutes later) and she helped us through it. She saved us a trip to the ER. If you see her today, please tell her I said thank you from the bottom of my heart”

  •  I dont think it’s necessary for every woman to give birth in a hospital. I don’t believe pregnancy is a sickness. I enjoyed being in a hospital for my birth. For my next birth, I don’t know that I would want to give birth at home. It is nice to have something in the middle.

  • Our appointment was at noon on a Wednesday. Mmmm; maybe 1 or 2 cm, and about 60 percent effaced. The contractions got more intense that night. After just an hour or two of sleep and one hot shower, we were into Thursday. Took a long trail walk, and then decided to go into the birthing center. We arrived at 3 p.m. and I was at 5 cm. You came at the right time!  Several backrubs and rocks on the birthing ball later: 8 cm. We jumped into the tub, my water broke, and I started pushing! Beautiful Elsa Shu-Yi was born at 6:07 p.m.
